Almost There...

I'd hoped to have Darkness Beckons finished by now, but I've had a summer of hiccups, distractions and a few writer's blocks to navigate. I'm up to 90,000 words, and the book is in the home straight. Which is all well and good, as it's due for publication at the end of September. And it will be ready! Though I can see a few late-night editing stints ahead to get it done.
Darkness Beckons won't be the last book in The Night's Road either. I honestly don't know how many more there will be, but I'm going to be carrying on till we reach the end of the road. Hope you guys are, too!
Not sure when Book Six will be out, but it won't be until 2025 sadly. It took me three months to write The World's Pain, but it's going to be over double that for Darkness Beckons. I'd like to up the tempo after this one, but it comes as it comes. When I know, I'll let you know!
If you'd like some more of my writing but simply can't wait until September, you can join my mailing list for two free novella prequels to The Night's Road, plus an ongoing novel I'm publishing one chapter at a time. The fourth chapter of The Lady of Easterly Cay went out to my subscribers a few weeks ago, so why not check it out and see how I write a novel, one chapter at a time?
